Hans Vischjager was born during the Second World War in the Netherlands and is a second-generation Holocaust survivor. At the age of fourteen, he
immigrated with his family to America, where he went to high school, junior college, and university to become a registered mental nurse. He continued
studying to obtain a certificate in psychotherapeutic counseling, followed by earning diplomas in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, advanced psychotherapy, character analysis, and dream analysis. He now holds a Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
Besides having worked in various psychiatric hospitals, Vischjager continues to oversee a successful private practice in Sri Lanka. The psychological and emotional conditions he treats are mostly stress-related, including post traumatic stress, phobias, depression, divorce-related issues, as well as sexual and child abuse
problems. Clinical hypnosis is an integral part of his work, where he is very successful at uncovering the underlying causes of deeply rooted problems.
